STIGA Carbon+ vs Ultra Comparison
Table size
Both the STIGA Carbon+ Bundle and the STIGA Ultra measure 108 inches in length and 60 inches in width. This 9-foot standard size provides ample playing space for doubles matches and competitive singles play. You get the same court dimensions regardless of which model you choose. The length and width are identical, ensuring that your gameplay experience on the surface area remains consistent between the two options. This standard sizing makes both tables suitable for most indoor game rooms without requiring excessive floor space.
Playfield material
The STIGA Carbon+ Bundle features an 18mm thick surface with a multi-layer roller coat finish and precision silk-screen striping. This construction aims to deliver exceptional stability and consistent bounce for indoor play. In contrast, the STIGA Ultra utilizes an 18mm woodgrain laminate top. This material offers a stylish aesthetic while enabling fast-paced and competitive play. While both surfaces are 18mm thick, the Carbon+ emphasizes a roller coat finish for responsiveness, whereas the Ultra focuses on a woodgrain laminate look. Your preference may depend on whether you prioritize the specific finish texture or the visual woodgrain style.
Build and weight
The STIGA Carbon+ Bundle is notably heavier, weighing 222 pounds. This substantial weight contributes to its reinforced steel aprons and overall stability during intense matches. The STIGA Ultra is lighter at 176 pounds. It features a steel box-style support apron and frame structure designed for rigidity and durability. The Carbon+ is 46 pounds heavier, which may provide a more solid feel during play but makes it harder to move. The Ultra’s lighter frame might be easier to handle while still offering a robust steel construction for long-lasting use.
Leg levelers
The STIGA Ultra includes precise leg levelers that allow you to adjust the table for unmatched evenness. This feature ensures the truest bounce and consistent play on uneven floors. The STIGA Carbon+ Bundle does not list leg levelers in its specifications. Instead, it relies on its heavy construction and independent rolling table halves with 4-inch lockable casters for stability and mobility. If you frequently play on surfaces that are not perfectly flat, the Ultra’s leg levelers provide a practical advantage for maintaining a consistent bounce height across the entire playing field.
Color and style
The STIGA Carbon+ Bundle is finished in black, featuring carbon fiber-style accents that give it a modern, sporty appearance. The STIGA Ultra is brown, designed with a woodgrain aesthetic to resemble furniture. This brown finish allows the Ultra to blend more seamlessly into living spaces or game rooms with traditional decor. The black Carbon+ offers a high-contrast, professional look. Your choice here depends on whether you prefer the sleek black and carbon fiber accents or the sophisticated brown woodgrain style that mimics natural furniture.
Mobility and storage
The STIGA Carbon+ Bundle is designed for easy mobility with independent rolling table halves and 4-inch lockable casters. This foldable design allows for compact storage and smooth transport. It also supports a playback mode for solo practice. The STIGA Ultra does not specify rolling casters or independent halves in its data. It features a steel frame structure but lacks explicit mention of a folding or rolling mobility system. If you need to move the table frequently or store it away after use, the Carbon+ Bundle’s caster and folding features offer a clear advantage in convenience and space management.
