Size, Build, and Weather Specs
Table size and footprint
The Kettler Carrara Outdoor Foosball Table measures 58 inches in length, 30 inches in width, and 34 inches in height. This compact footprint makes it suitable for smaller patios or decks. In contrast, the Kettler Eden Weatherproof Outdoor Ping Pong Table is significantly larger, with dimensions of 108 inches long, 62 inches wide, and 30 inches high. You need a much larger open area for the Eden table to allow for proper table tennis gameplay. The size difference is substantial, so your available outdoor space will dictate which table fits your layout. Consider the room needed for players to move around each table before deciding.
Playfield material and finish
Both tables feature a melamine playfield, which is a durable and smooth surface suitable for outdoor conditions. The Carrara uses a melamine field optimized for foosball, with side and corner rails to keep the ball in play. The Eden specifies a weatherproof melamine top designed to stand any climate while offering a great bounce for ping pong. The Eden explicitly markets its top as weatherproof to maintain bounce quality in various climates. While both use melamine, the Eden’s specification highlights its resilience to weather impacts on the playing surface more directly than the Carrara’s description. This gives the Eden a slight edge in explicit weatherproofing claims for the playfield.
Weight and stability
Stability is crucial for outdoor tables to prevent tipping during vigorous play. The Kettler Carrara Outdoor Foosball Table weighs 120 pounds. Its steel telescopic rods and powder-coated steel legs provide a solid base for foosball. The Kettler Eden Weatherproof Outdoor Ping Pong Table weighs approximately 280 pounds, more than double the weight of the Carrara. The Eden also includes a 2-inch galvanized steel apron to protect and support outer edges. The heavier weight of the Eden table suggests greater stability against wind and active play. If you prioritize a table that is less likely to shift or tip, the Eden’s substantial weight is a clear advantage.
Leg construction and anchoring
The legs on both tables are made of steel to withstand outdoor elements. The Carrara features powder-coated steel legs that are rust-resistant. The Eden uses galvanized steel legs with a chrome-look powder coat finish, which are 4 inches wide for added support. The Eden also includes a galvanized steel apron for edge protection. Crucially, the Eden comes with anchor bolts to secure the table permanently, which is ideal for high-wind areas or public spaces. The Carrara does not mention anchor bolts in its specifications. If you need to secure the table against wind or theft, the Eden’s included anchoring system is a significant practical benefit.
Included accessories and warranty
Accessories vary significantly between the two models. The Carrara includes five resin balls, five cork balls, and a premium storage cover to keep the table dust-free when not in use. The Eden includes a permanent net and post system made of galvanized steel, as well as anchor bolts. The Eden also offers a 10-year warranty on the top and a 3-year warranty on all remaining components. The Carrara’s warranty details are not specified in the provided data. The Eden provides a clear, long-term warranty and essential netting for immediate play. The Carrara provides extra balls and a cover. The Eden’s warranty coverage is a distinct advantage for long-term peace of mind.
