The unit weighs 100 pounds, offering stability without requiring a massive footprint. You get a red felt pool surface and a removable ping pong top. This configuration lets you switch between billiards and table tennis quickly. The design prioritizes space efficiency while maintaining a sleek aesthetic that fits modern decor. It includes all necessary accessories for both games right out of the box.
What stands out
- Measures 72 x 38 x 31 inches for a compact footprint.
- Includes a removable table tennis top for 2-in-1 play.
- Comes with full billiard set: cues, balls, triangle, chalk, and brush.
- Weighs 100 pounds for stable play on standard floors.
Who it fits
Good fit for
This table suits players with limited space who want two games in one unit. It fits well in basements, dorms, or small apartments where a full-size table is impossible. The 72-inch length provides a playable surface for casual games without dominating the room. Families with children of varying ages will appreciate the quick conversion between pool and ping pong. If you need a durable, all-in-one entertainment center that does not require a dedicated game room, this spec sheet aligns with your needs.
Who should skip it
Serious players seeking tournament-level play should skip this option. The 72-inch length is significantly shorter than standard 8-foot tables, affecting shot geometry and skill development. If you prefer a blue felt surface, you must select the alternative variation, as this specific listing is red only. Those needing a permanent, heavy-duty installation might find the 100-pound weight insufficient for professional-grade stability. This product is designed for casual recreation, not competitive training.
Verdict: The Hathaway Spartan 6 ft pool table is a practical choice for casual players needing a compact, multi-game solution. It delivers solid value for small spaces but falls short for serious billiards enthusiasts.
Key specs explained for this table
Table Size: 72-in L x 38-in W x 31-in H
This footprint fits into tighter spaces than a standard 8-foot table. You get a playable surface for casual games without dominating your room. The 31-inch height is standard for comfortable shooting posture. If your game room is small, this compact dimension allows for easier movement around the table. It is a practical choice for apartments or smaller basements where space is limited.
Multi-Game Configuration: 2-in-1
This unit converts from a pool table to a ping pong table. You save floor space by not needing two separate tables. The included table tennis top allows for quick switching between games. This versatility is ideal for households with diverse interests. You get two distinct gaming experiences in one piece of furniture, maximizing utility in a single footprint.
Weight: 100 pounds
This weight provides reasonable stability during play. It is heavy enough to reduce wobble but light enough for one person to move if necessary. Compare this to larger tables that weigh over 300 pounds and require professional installation. For a 6-foot table, this mass ensures the surface stays level during shots. It is a manageable weight for home assembly and placement.
Color: Red Felt
The red felt offers a classic aesthetic for your game room. It contrasts well with white balls, aiding visibility during play. This color choice fits traditional decor styles. You can easily match accessories like chalk and cues to this surface. The felt type affects ball roll speed, so check if this matches your preferred gameplay style compared to blue or green alternatives.

This compact footprint fits into smaller rooms better than standard 8-foot tables. The unit weighs 100 pounds. This mass provides stability during active play. It does not shift easily when you strike the cue ball or paddle. The smooth playing surface ensures precise ball movement. You can enjoy casual family games or intense matches with friends. The design supports players of all skill levels. Whether you choose the red felt or blue felt option, the dimensions remain the same. The 31-inch height is standard for home game tables. This makes it comfortable to play without bending too low. The modern aesthetic blends with various home decors. You get endless entertainment options in one compact unit. The build quality suggests long-lasting durability for years of use. You do not need a large garage or dedicated game room. This table works well in living areas or basements where space is limited. Before You Buy This Combo Table
You should measure your room carefully before ordering. The 72-inch length and 38-inch width require clearance for cue sticks. Standard cues are 58 inches, so you need at least 116 inches of total space for comfortable play. This table is a 2-in-1 unit, meaning you must swap the felt top for the ping pong surface. Store the unused top safely to prevent warping or damage. The red felt surface is specified, but you may want a cover for dust protection when not in use. Cleaning requires a specialized brush and chalk, both included. Consider if you will use the ping pong attachment frequently. If you primarily play pool, the conversion process adds time. This model fits well if you prioritize versatility over dedicated table tennis performance. It suits those with limited floor space who want multiple games in one footprint. Check your existing accessories for compatibility with the included 48-inch cues if you plan to upgrade later.
